Ground Protections Mats are used to create a portable roadway or working platform for vehicles,  while providing traction for tracked or wheeled construction equipment. Ground Protections Mats are a superior replacement for plywood or fiberglass.

Waytop ground mats provide a superior grip for vehicles or machinery whilst enabling the mats themselves to grip the ground beneath. Unlike most other ground protection mats, ours have been specified at a size which accommodates the width of most vehicle, crane, and equipment chassis. With six handles, the lightweight pads can be carried, positioned and stored with minimal effort.

Manufactured from high density polyethylene (HDPE), our ground mats are extremely reliable and offer excellent support…they’re built to last!

Resistant to water, oil and chemicals there’s no splintering or corrosion. Our mats are tough, durable and can withstand extreme vertical pressure without impacting the ground beneath.

Customer feedback

“We used the three you gave us and backed a large double bucket up the bank on the South Side of our Hilltop Substation. We thought they may slip, it was at least a 45 degree angle and there was frost on the grass, They never slipped and even the 3/8 mat held up when we backed the truck with a GVW of 16 tons.”
