Ground protection mats can be used in a wide range of applications including temporary roadways, work surfaces, material storage areas or as pedestrian access. They also provide essential protection for soft and delicate ground such as sports fields, golf courses, parks and green spaces.
They are manufactured from high quality high density polyethylene (HDPE) which is fully recyclable. This material offers an effective weight resistance of over 50 tonnes depending on the ground conditions.
In addition to being durable and long lasting, it is extremely lightweight at 40kg per mat, meaning it can be installed easily and effectively by two people, making it suitable for both short term and long term projects.

Our mat has a flexible design that allows the mat to follow the contours of undulating or sloping ground, also eliminating any ground preparation that may be required with other access systems. The mat also has strategically positioned hand holes for easy handling, two at each end and then one in the middle, longer section.
It features our unique ‘Chevron’ traction surface design that provides optimal grip and improved forward movement of vehicles even in the harshest weather conditions. The Chevron traction design also makes it easier to release mud from the mats as vehicles and equipment drive over them. We also include a non-slip pedestrian surface on one side of the mats as standard.
The mats can be connected using a variety of connection systems to suit different ground and weather conditions and various temporary access requirements. Connection options available include our standard 2-way and 4-way connectors for faster installation.
Heavy duty cable ties or connection plates can be used to attach the mats together. Its adaptability allows the mat to follow the contours of the ground, providing highly effective access over undulating or sloping conditions.
